St. George Indian Orthodox Church in Manchester, UK, warmly invites all to join in commemorating the Feast of St. Gregorios, affectionately known as Parumala Thirumeni. This annual event celebrates the legacy of St. Gregorios, a beloved saint of the Malankara Orthodox Church, remembered for his deep faith and compassion.

The two-day celebration will begin on Saturday, November 2, and continue on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Saturday, November 2:

• 5:45 PM - Kodiyettu (Flag Hoisting Ceremony)
• 6:00 PM - Evening Prayer
• 6:45 PM - Devotional Songs
• 7:00 PM - Devotional Speech and Light Refreshments

Sunday, November 3:

• 9:00 AM - Morning Prayer
• 9:45 AM - Holy Qurbana & Madhyastha Prarthana (Intercessory Prayers)
• 11:30 AM - Benediction and Nercha Vilambu (Distribution of Blessed Food)

We are honored to have Rev. Fr. Eldo Varghese, our vicar, leading the services, with the support of church trustee Mr. Biben John and secretary Mr. Roy Samuel.

Join us in this sacred observance as we seek the blessings and intercession of St. Gregorios. As Proverbs 10:7 says, "The memory of the righteous will be a blessing." Let us come together as a community to honor his memory and celebrate his lasting impact.

The Holy Feast of St George will be celebrated on 4th and 5th May 2024.

During Easter the Sunday School Children and the Youth organised a food bank collection. We were able to fill two boxes with food items. The collected items were then donated to Holy Innocents in Fallowfield, Manchester and to Salvation Army Bolton by our youth members.

As proposed by our Metropolitan HG Abraham Mar Stephanos, OSSAE UEA will be conducting a Summer pilgrimage camp in India, families traveling to India during the UK summer holidays are requested to participate. Please emphasise the benefits of this pilgrimage camp to the kids and encourage them to participate. We will require Google form to be published in your parishes and completed by the parents *latest by 31st of May*. This will enable us to ascertain the number of participants and make necessary arrangements. Further details will be published closer to the time.

The OVBS will be held from Thursday 27th October to 30th October 2022. There will be an English Holy Qurbana on the final day. The deadline to register for OVBS is Sunday the 16th of October 2022 at 4 pm. Registration fee is £10 per child
