OVBS - 2014

Our church Sunday school OVBS will be on 29th October Wednesday-1st November Saturday.

Venue: St: Johns Catholic Primary school, Church Road, Kearsley, Bolton, BL4 8AP.

OVBS 2013

The OVBS 2013 (Orthodox Vacation Bible School), will be held at St John's Primary School, Church Road, Kearsley, Bolton, BL4 8AP from 29th May to 01st June 2013. The classes will begin at 09:30 in the morning and will conclude by 15:00 hrs. The closing ceremony celebrations will start by the Holy Qurbana on 01st June at 09:00 at the same venue, St John's Primary School.

Theme: "Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you [James 4:10]"

There will be a registration fee of five pounds (£5) per child. Please download the application form from the below link and fill and return it to the Sunday School by 12th May 2013.

Sunday School Annual Talent Competition 2012- 2013

The talent competition for Sunday school students will be held on 03 February 2013. Please remember to give your child’s names on or before 13th January 2013 before 17.00hrs, to the relevant class teachers. Class teachers list provided at the end.

This year under 5 yrs can perform on Christian solo song either in English or Malayalam this won’t be a competition it’s only to encourage our toddler group and to involve them in our talent programme.

Colouring

Time Limit : 15minutes

The colouring page will be provided, the contestants should bring their own colouring equipments. Only crayons & colouring pencils are allowed (no water colour or felt tip).

Age Group

  • Primary : 5-6yrs

Songs and storytelling can participate in either English or Malayalam not both.

Malayalam Solo Song

Time : 3 minutes only (will be strictly enforced)

No written aids will be allowed

Only Christian Songs.

Age Group

  • Primary : 5-6 years
  • Sub juniors : 7-8 years
  • Juniors : 9-10 years
  • Seniors : 11-14 years

English Solo Song

Time Limit : 3 minutes only (will be strictly enforced)

No written aids will be allowed

Groups will be randomly selected on the day, each group will be writing the answer, and after the first round marks will be tabulated followed by second round after this if necessary third round with 5 more questions.
