The OVBS 2012 (Orthodox Vacation Bible School), will be held at St John's Primary School, Church Road, Kearsley, Bolton, BL4 8AP from 07th to 09th June 2012.  The classes will begin at 09:30 in the morning and will conclude by 15:30 hrs. The closing ceremony will be on 10 th June after the Holy Qurbana at Christ Church, Princess Road, Manchester.

The theme for this year’s OVBS is "We are one in Christ [Galatians 3:28]".

There will be a registration fee of five pounds (£5) per child.  Please download the application from the below link and fill and return it to the Sunday School by 27th May 2012.

• The Sunday school children who has 50% attendance and didn’t attend the exam on 11/03/2012, there will be an exam on 22/04/2012 after holy Qurbana.

• Sunday school teachers meeting will be on 22/04/2012.

• New year Sunday school will start on 13/05/2012 after holy Qurbana 15.30hrs.

• This year OVBS will be on 7,8,9,10th June 2012 venue TBC.

The final examinations for the Sunday School studends will be held on 11 March 2012.  The Sunday School Prize Distribution and Annual Day will be celebrated on 25 March 2012.

The talent competition for Sunday School students will be held on 12 February 2012.  Please remember to give your names on or before 08 January 2012.  Detailed programme list is as follows:

Colouring

Time : 15 minutes
The colouring page will be provided, but the contestants should bring their own colouring equipments. Only crayons, colouring pencils or felt tip pens are allowed(no water colour).

Age Group

• 5 and under 5 years
• 6-7 years

Drawing

Time : 20 minutes
The colouring paper will be provided, but the contestants should bring their own drawing equipments. The subject will be randomly chosen just prior to the competition

Age Group

• 8-10 years

Solo Song

Time : Maximum 3 minutes (will be strictly enforced)
Either English or Malayalam Christian Songs only.

Group Song

Minimum 3 members in a team. Only Aradhanageethangal from Kurbana, Namaskaram, Kudasa or Perunnal geethangal are allowed.

I have great pleasure to invite our children to the Orthodox Vacation Bible School to be held in St Elizabeth Church Hall Lomond Road, Wythenshawe, M22 5JB, from 27th to 30th October 2011.  The event will begin at 9.30am and will conclude at 2.30 pm each day.  Please note that the closing ceremony on Sunday will be celebrated at Christ church after Holy Qurbana.  The theme for this year "Let’s obey our parents". (Ephesians 6:1) was put forward by the Malankara Orthodox Sunday School Association.

This meeting will be of great significance to our children and parents as they will have the time and occasion to study moral stories, songs and involve in various biblical activities. It will be a great opportunity for all to meet and to interact with one another.

Our Sunday school teachers are taking great effort to make this event a wonderful experience. Please check the flyers and guide lines for more details.
